Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a consultation?

The average consultation is 15 minutes. Some consultations, however, require additional time - e.g. insurance medicals, full annual physicals, problems of an emotional nature, pap smears, etc. Please discuss your treatment requirement with the receptionist, who will allot extra time should this be necessary.

Is there parking available?

Parking is available in the driveway, however, we ask that these spaces be offered to mothers with young children. Additional parking is available in the street.

Do you do house calls?

Dr Cohen does do house calls, but we encourage patients to come to the surgery wherever possible. This service is expensive and modern medicine has great reliance on technology, making it difficult to achieve satisfactory resolution of the problem in a domestic setting.

How do I leave a message for the doctor?

We try to run as personalized a practice as possible and often you may need to give us a telephonic update as on your progress. As you know, it is difficult to take all calls during consultation times as this disrupts the flow of the consultation process for the person who is physically sitting in front of us.

Please leave your message with the receptionist. Our answering machine does not accept messages.

When will the doctor phone me back?

All calls will be attended to at the end of the consultation session (morning/afternoon). Please note that, if it had been a busy day, we might only phone you after 8pm. Please note that the return call will be from an 0878081455, 0834000024 , 0727858504.
